USGI military surplus bivouac bag?

I'm looking to lighten my load and be able to go backpacking this winter. Does anyone know if the military bags bivouac topic (gore-tex, patron of forests) are very breathable and do not add any heat? Only the bivouac bag, not the system of complete rest. I'm using a 15-degree Marmot bag with him.
